Travel Day

Sorry for not posting for the past two days!  I went away to Vermont this weekend for some much needed 'R&R'!  It was so beautiful there and so nice to be home with family.  I always feel refreshed and recharged when I come back to New York after visiting the great Green Mountain State!  My lazy state in Vermont did not allow for picture taking or catching up on the blogging, thus the lack of it!

When I got home I decided to snap a few shots of what I wore to travel in that day.  Mind you this was only a 40 minute flight, but it was still quite comfortable.

Black Jumper Jumpsuit

I love every single piece of clothing in this outfit!  I don't think I could pick a favorite if I had to!  The black jumper is so comfortable and easy to throw on!  The grey cardigan goes with EVERYTHING!  And the hat always instantly adds that extra punch to ANY outfit!

Tourist- Russia Part III

So this is going to be my final and last post about Russia!  I did not get to see the city as much as I would have liked while I was there.  I really only did one or two half days of sight seeing, because of various reasons.
(MAJOR jetlag/exhaustion)
But the two days I did get out were beautiful!  And I got to see the famous "Red Square".  It was truly a magnificent sight.  I don't think my pictures will even begin to allow you to see the enormity of it all!  But here is a good shot...

Long Black Skirt

I am LOVING the trend of long skirts coming back recently.  But I always thought that a long skirt meant really dressy.  So I was a little hesitant to buy this skirt, because I didn't think I would wear it.  But low and behold it has become one of my favorite things to put on!  It is so flowy and easy, and goes with about anything!  The absolute best part about it is that it is sooooooo comfy!

The Theatre-Russia Part II

So when I was in Russia, we danced at the Bolshoi Theatre.  This is one of the most historic stages!  We actually danced on the new Bolshoi stage because the old original one was under construction.  Either way it felt like such an honor to be in such a great theatre and perform on such an amazing stage.
Here are a few pictures from the theatre...

Inside the 'New" Bolshoi theatre.

Taking class on stage.  (I don't know if you can tell, but the stage is raked.  Which means that the stage itself is not flat.  It is sloped upwards away from the audience.  It is intended to improve the view for the audience.  But let me tell you...it is sooooo hard to get used to when you usually dance on flat ground!)

Just got new glasses this weekend! I love them and I am sure you be seeing a lot more of them!

"Bye Russia"- Russia Part I

So I feel kind bad that I have been MIA for two weeks!  Sorry!  But when I got back from Russia, I was really way to busy to be blogging.  I moved rooms and was redecorating all week!  (Pictures to come).  But I am back, I promise!  (Not that anyone really missed me.  But is it wrong for a girl to want to flatter herself and think that people missed looking at this little guy?)
Moving on...

So while I was in Russia, I am embarrassed to say that I did not take as many pictures as I should have.  But instead of pictures, Boyfriend and I were given a FLIP Video Camera from the ABT Press department to document our time in Russia.  And you lucky folks get a private screening.

Drum role please...

TADA!  There you have it...Boyfriend and I's documentation from Russia.  I must say though, during editing they left out ALOT of footage.  It was really a fun way to see the city.  It made me want to start taking more videos of all the places I go, rather than just pictures.

And P.S.:  That creepy voice that says "Bye Russia" at the end of the video is me!  Hehe!

Saturday, April 9, 2011

Just asked my lovely roomate Monica to hold my window open while I put a plant out on my fire escape. And low and behold she locked me out for like 5 minutes. Meanwhile she was inside laughing and taking pictures of me! I almost had to climb up to our roof on my scary fire escape. But she finally let me in. Just a Saturday afternoon at our apartment!
